We had a really fun party this week to celebrate the opening of our new shared design studio space in Downtown Portland. We were also celebrating our full page ad in the Fall issue of Luxe magazine, and an upcoming feature article in Portrait of Portland Magazine in mid-November! Check out some of the party pics below.
It was nice to see everyone engaged in conversation and having fun. It was wonderful to see Deric and Suzanne from Nest, Fabian from Neil Kelly and Jim Beriault with Beriault Entertainment Marketing to name a few.
My lovely client Wanda and her friend Paul made it out from Vancouver.
It was also great to see my dear client Ali after finishing up his brand new home about to be featured in Portrait of Portland Magazine!
There’s our new full page ad in Luxe magazine!

If your looking for a little Easter basket inspiration my mother never disappoints. For pretty much every holiday, she creates the most precious and heart-warming handmade gifts for friends and family. This Easter she filled a seagrass basket with all the things that bring us joy like chocolate robin’s eggs and jelly beans, along with a fresh scented candle and a little stuffed bird perched on top that she fashioned out of sueded paper, feathers and twine. I also love the hand stenciled tags with our initials. Happy Easter!
We here at Wendy O’Brien Interior Planning & Design love idea of magnetic wallpaper. It can transform any wall into a floor to ceiling bulletin board! The two wallpapers shown below have a magnetic coating made from non-toxic, naturally magnetic mineral used in dietary supplements and it’s 100% recyclable! It is great for children’s rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms or offices or wherever you need a little impromptu reminder or art gallery!
I never thought about it that much, but after a very informative presentation from Ryan Higgins VP of Tamarian Carpets at Kush Rugs, it makes sense that the higher the altitude the denser the sheep’s coat, which yields a strong, lanolin-rich wool that is spun into yarn. Tamarian not only uses this amazing yarn to create their beautiful rugs and carpets to last decades, they also use eco-friendly dyes and sheer the sheep with warm sheers.
It is also wonderful to know that Tamarian is committed to giving back to the people of Nepal who make their carpets and rugs by sponsoring charity:water to drill for clean well water in Nepal.
Next time I step foot on one of Tamarian’s masterpieces it won’t just be the carpet that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling!
