    ABOUT STUDIO ID

    For the last 15 years, Wendy O’Brien Interior Planning & Design has been designing from the ground up, or reinventing existing living experiences, for a multitude of satisfied clients. Our studio is located in the heart of Portland Oregon, right near beautiful Forest Park, but we design throughout the Northwest, West Coast, as well as areas such as Los Angeles and Dallas.

    As long time Portland interior designers, we’ve been blessed to work with a wide variety of clients from celebrities to first time home buyers and everyone in between. We also work very hard to manage our projects to our client’s budgets, and it’s our ongoing mission to help as many people find the perfect living environment as possible.

    Our designs have been featured in multiple issues of Portrait of Portland magazine, as well as Luxe Magazine, and Oregon Home, and we are proud of how happy we have been able to make our valued clients. We are also multi-award winners of the NW Natural Street of Dreams home showcase tour.

    Wendy’s passion for design, art and architectural styles was ignited during her early days at UCLA, and she was influenced by her architect father and fashion savvy mother. Even today, she finds those influences coming out in her design and architecture.  Wendy is one of the few Portland interior designers that can design engineered solutions, plus add in a fashion sense to a room or home, fusing existing and new elements into a perfect living experience.

    The foundations established early on continue to be the energy and inspiration behind our studio’s designs be it modern, transitional, traditional or anywhere in between.

    “I started my own company after realizing I have something wonderful and genuine to bring to the design community – a combination of several art forms – interior design, fashion, music and visual art. All of these elements influence us, define us, move us and provide the emotional content of our lives. Shouldn’t your interior designer understand these influences? I think so.”

    Our clients often remark on how well we as Portland interior designers listen, and the ways we create a space that is beyond what they could have ever imagined. Our designs range from light and bright spaces that energize, to dark and dramatic interiors layering beautiful fabrics, textures and artwork for one of kind results. But it’s not just about designs, it’s about the entire process. And we like to think we are one of the best when it comes to the attention to detail required as we create a new vision for our clients and then carefully lead them along with us through an amazing journey together.

    Design and style are the elements that define Wendy O’Brien. Since she was very young she has been influenced by her architect father and fashion savvy mother, and even today, she finds those influences coming out in her work and art. Wendy is one of the few designers that can design engineered solutions, plus add in a fashion sense to a room or home, and fuse existing and new elements into a perfect setting and experience. Earlier in her journey, Wendy has been a professional musician, fashion designer and worked in many aspects of retail from sales to designing memorable and eclectic window displays for fashion forward junior clothing and heavily themed gift stores, and finally an interior designer (UCLA graduate). Interior planning and design has become her absolute joy.
